If you are thinking about visiting Europe then there are some cities, amongst the many great ones, that you absolutely can not leave off your travel itinerary. Within them you will find some of the world's most famous landmarks and attractions. They provide a real insight into the varied cultures of the Europe, and no European holiday would be complete without seeing at least a couple of them.
Do not miss Barcelona. The capital of the Catalan region of Spain; it sits on the Mediterranean coast. Its unique culture and its interesting history are evident in its architecture, galleries and museums. You will find everything from Roman ruins to beautiful churches. Do not forget the beaches. Sports fans can catch a game of football at the Camp Nou. Camp Nou is home to what is considered to be the very best football team on earth.
And there's Paris. Everyone knows that Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world. It is also large and full of life. The center of Paris is home to many famous architectural sites including the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, and The Eiffel Tower. Much of Paris' character comes from the River Seine which runs through the city. Paris is also the home of all sorts of secret city squares and hidden gardens. The most famous art museum in Paris is, of course, The Louvre but there are many, many others. And, of course, Paris is known for its restaurants and shopping.
The famous Italian city of Venice is set into a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It is essentially many small islands joined together by a canal. At one time it was one a power base of Europe as a result of its naval might and strong trade connections. Whilst it is no longer a hub of economic activity, its grand and magnificent buildings and monuments remain as testament to its glory days. These days it is a very calm and relaxing place - perfect for a romantic trip away. For the true Venice experience, visitors should spend at least a few hours taking a boat trip through the streets. It will be something that you never forget.
First, London. The diversity of London is amazing. In fact, there are more languages spoken in London than in any other city in the world. This creates a vivid melange of cultures. With its theaters, museums, galleries, famous buildings and other landmarks, including Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, London is a center of world culture. If you love to shop you will not want to pass up London. It is sometimes considered to be the best place to shop in Europe to buy designer clothing as well as all sorts of other interesting finds.
