South Korea Beaches

South Korea beaches are distinctively beautiful and one of the highlights of any visit to the coastal communities of this country in northeast Asia. It is somewhat difficult to determine the best beach in Korea for two reasons. First, there are quite a few of them; and second, they are not all the same. For instance, Gangdon, an Ulsan beach in South Korea, has black pebble shores, making it unique in the area where most of the other beaches are lined with fine, white sand. If you are planning a trip eastern South Korea and are staying in Ulsan, you should be aware of the fact that there are three main beaches. There is no one Ulsan beach in South Korea. Ilsan Beach is the largest of the three and is particularly popular among both international and domestic tourists because of its proximity to many of the attractions in the downtown area.

Jinha Beach is a bit smaller and more remote and is a popular place for couples to stroll and enjoy a leisurely walk after dinner. There is a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and hotels near each of the three major beaches in this city. Ulsan beach in South Korea is the third largest, and is the black pebble beach at Gangdon. This beach is located in the northern reaches of the city, tucked into the lovely mountains. The vistas of the sea and mountain ranges from this beach make it a most popular attraction amongst local residents and international tourists who are in the know.

Haeundae Beach is considered by many to be the best beach in Korea. Haeundae is easily Busan’s most popular beach. It is situated in something of an affluent community and is a regular retreat for domestic tourists. Busan is commonly thought of as the place to go on summer vacation in South Korea, along with Ulsan. These two cities are home to some of the very best South Korea beaches. Busan actually has six beaches altogether. Although Haeundae is the most alluring for tourists, Gwangalli Beach is exceedingly popular with the younger crowd for its wide variety of hip cafes, bars, and boutiques. This is one of the coolest places in the eastern part of South Korea. You can enjoy the surf and sand and also have the opportunity to explore authentic Korean culture in a vibrant district. For the youth in Busan, this is undoubtedly the best beach in Korea.

Songjeong Beach is another attractive option in the city of Busan. It is very clean, which cannot always be said for every beach in the country. Songjeong is a popular destination for water sports and is a resort community for people within the country. The fine white sand and relaxed surrounding areas make this one of the most appealing beaches in Busan.
